When a Dream Becomes a Calling

Some dreams whisper softly in childhood — and then, years later, roar into destiny.
For Sarah Dickens, that dream began in kindergarten, when her teacher asked what she
wanted to be when she grew up.
“I told the class I wanted to be an author,” she remembers. “Even back then, I loved stories
— they gave me a way to imagine hope.”
Life, of course, took its turns. But the seed planted in that classroom never died. It would
grow, years later, into a calling that intertwined writing, faith, and healing in ways she could
never have imagined.
In February 2022, Sarah published her first book, A Victory Song: Beneath the Veil, marking
the beginning of her career as a Christian author. What started as a dream spoken aloud
became a mission rooted in divine purpose.
From a Conference Dream to the Written Word

The moment that reignited her purpose came unexpectedly — at a women’s conference in
2018.
“When they asked about our dreams, I stood up and said, ‘I want to write my first book,’” she
says. “That moment changed my life. I met my book coach there, who helped me shape the
vision that God had already placed in my heart.”
Four years later, that dream materialized. A Victory Song: Beneath the Veil wasn’t just a
book — it was a testimony. It spoke of faith, resilience, and the grace to rise from struggle.
Soon after, Sarah began writing her second book, A Victory Song: Thoughts of Peace, which
would take nearly three years to complete and publish — finally releasing in August 2025.
The Healing Power of Transparency
What sets Sarah apart is her willingness to tell the truth — even when it hurts.
Her second memoir, Thoughts of Peace, tackles subjects many shy away from: mental
health, faith, and the reality of battling bipolar disorder while holding onto hope.
“It’s okay for Christians to admit when they need help,” she says. “During the pandemic, I
was hospitalized twice for mental health reasons. It took courage to seek help, but even in
that, I found God’s peace.”
Through her words, Sarah bridges a powerful gap — between spiritual faith and emotional
honesty. Her testimony reminds readers that divine healing and mental health care are not
opposites; they are often partners in the same process.
“Peace,” she says, “comes from letting God into the storms we try to face alone.”
Faith, Craft, and the Writer’s Gift

Sarah’s writing isn’t simply creative — it’s spiritual. Each book is born through prayer and
guided by what she calls the leading of the Lord.
“I pray before every project,” she explains. “Once I know what God wants me to write, I
outline the story and trust His timing. Sometimes it takes months, other times years. But it’s
never wasted time.”
Her patience and dedication show in the depth of her words. Each story, reflection, and
verse feels like a prayer on paper — personal yet universally relatable, poetic yet deeply
real.
Success Redefined by Grace

For Sarah, success isn’t measured in bestsellers, magazine covers, or social media
numbers — though she’s had plenty of those too, with features in Elle Middle East, DE
MODE, Harper’s Bazaar Weekly, Vogue Monaco, Cosmopolitan UK, and more.
“Success,” she says, “is the result of God’s healing work in my life. Every testimony I write is
a victory song of His grace.”
Her books aren’t written from a pedestal, but from the valley — from the very moments of
pain and uncertainty that shaped her into the woman she is today.
A Voice for Healing, A Pen for Hope
Sarah’s motivation comes from the lives she touches. Every message, review, or testimony
from readers becomes fuel for her purpose.
“When I see that my writing brings hope to someone — that’s everything,” she says. “It’s why
I keep writing, why I share my story.”
She’s currently working on her third and fourth books in the A Victory Song series —
Thoughts of Power and Declarations of Light — as well as a children’s illustrated book,
complete with her own artwork.
Each project continues her legacy of faith-based storytelling — bringing healing, help, and
hope to readers around the world.
The Melody of a Life Redeemed
Sarah Dickens writes not from perfection, but from redemption.
Her life — marked by both deep valleys and divine victories — sings with authenticity.
“I’ve walked through fire,” she says softly. “But that’s where I learned to sing.”
Through her faith, her words, and her courage to be transparent, Sarah has become more
than an author — she’s a vessel of restoration, reminding the world that healing begins when
we share our truth.
Because every victory song, after all, is written in the language of survival — and sung in the
key of grace.
